The fine art of perfection
Since the start of Microbas over 50 years ago, we have crafted products in diabase and glass ceramics to tolerances within a few thousandths of a millimeter over large area dimensions that have to remain stable in their applications under the influence of changes in temperature and moisture. One of the secrets behind our success in this field is to reduce or eliminate internal stress of the material during machining and lapping.

At Microbas we apply this unique knowledge and experience to machining other materials. By carefully selecting the most accurate machining and tooling strategy, we drastically reduce internal stresses and set a precision baseline for the product. Due to its thermal properties, Aluminium is by nature not the most dimensionally stable material, but we know how to get the highest accuracy from this diverse and amazing material.
Today, many of our ceramics and diabase clients also order not only their most complex aluminum components from us, but also parts of moderate complexity with high finish quality.
