Mycronic Microlithography Machines
Ultra-stable machine bases in Zerodur and diabase for world leading pattern generators
Mycronic AB is the world’s leading provider of pattern generators for the global electronics industry. Pattern generators are used to write microscopic images onto photomasks which then function as templates for mass production of displays, integrated circuits and electronic packaging. The manufacturing process, called microlithography, is similar to the way in which photographs are reproduced with the help of a negative.
Mycronic and Microbas started cooperating 25 years ago to develop ultra-stable, ultra-precise machine-base solutions for the pattern generators. The success has been tremendous and today the vast majority of consumer high resolution displays originate from a Mycronic pattern generator with a number of vital machined components in diabase, Zerodur and aluminium from Microbas Precision. This has been made possible through groundbreaking ideas, a long-term partnership, impeccable material selections and craftsmanship, and an extraordinary focus on precision.
